10-25-2008-Purchased Impala one and brought to be reconditioned for resale! 10-39-2008-Checked the front & rear brake hardware and pads. All checks out O.K. Found a weird problem on rear tire. Rare, we never seen this. A razor blade was picked up from the highway at some point and slice the tire all the way to the steel radials. The tire has a lot of tread still left, but because it is cut so severely it has to be replaced. The front end tie rod ends were lubricated with grease. 10-31-2008A*Had the tire replaced with one we already had in stock. 11-04-2008B*-Ken ( worked on removing the black rubber patch on roof and replacing with white adhesive. Second application will be done tomorrow. He also buffed the hood. Newman cleaned out the interior . Dan Changed the engine oil & filter, followed by replacing the transmission oil, filter and cleaning pan, add fluids, check for leaks. 11-05-2008-Dan replaced both windshield wiper blades and start to install a steering wheel cover. ~~~ This car needs a serpentine belt .Newman continued to clean the exterior . 11-06-2008-Dan with the help of Newman holding a bar-replaces the serpentine belt. Finish the steering wheel cover. 11-07-2008 -Ken adds a blue pinstripe down the side of vehicle. *This vehicle has small chips & dents in the paint. This car has very low miles for its age. Price NEG. 01-05-2009-Dan tried to install some second hand hub caps, but they did not match. 02-06-2009-CARinc dissolving so time has been spent building AutoFashions.com back up. 02-19-2009 -Dan got the vehicle inspected & license today, so test drives are available with Dan 03-17-2009-There some adhesive stuck on passenger door that needs to be removed and small areas that need touch up paint. The car is now at the shop to have the vehicle wash again from usage and vacuum interior out, but I need to finish some pressing customer jobs at the shop 04-11-2009 -Install new hub caps 04-13-2009BC*Bought a trunk pop up switch in Siler City from Salvage yard, and than washed the entire exterior of vehicle at shop. Removed lower steering column trim piece~plan on Installing another day the pop up switch 04-16-2009-B*-pop up switch work under dash since wiring isn't accessible. I found the switch. It was tucked under the dash-not sure why someone would do that, so the new pop up switch is for sale under "Impala" in Chevrolet parts. 04-17-2009-A*Wash vehicle, vacuum out 04-28-2009-touch up nicks & chips with paint , Install New Hub caps 06-02-2009-There is a slight knock in the suspension that needs to be checked out further, so for now the vehicle is on HOLD until I have sometime to see exactly what is loose 06-04-2009-Clean & Vacuum out interior-Remove the car insurance and turn in tags 06-12-2009-Received in mail a recall notice. Both vehicles are on hold until Recall claim at Chevrolet dealerships is satisfied (HOLD) 06-29-2009-BC*Wash & vacuumed, loaded up vehicle to be towed to Chevrolet Dealer for recall work 07-01-2009-Took me 2 1/2 hours preparing the trailer for the Impala, then I towed this vehicle to Performance Chevrolet and the mechanic's there worked on replacing the part while the vehicle was still on the trailer. Around 5:00 this afternoon I arrived back with the vehicle at AutoFashions.com to be unloaded. 07-05-2009-C*Unload the Impala one from the car trailer 07-26-2009-Car Has been sold and is under contract. We agreed that the suspension will be repaired with the small knocking sound. The vehicle will be cleaned and detailed as best as possible. The small dents will remain in the as is condition. I was allowed to have two weeks to prepare the vehicle. Thank-you :) 08-04-2009A<>delays 08-07-2009AXX 08-11-2009-<> behind in other areas of shop. 08-12-2009-!!!!I got sick at 1:00pm-stomach virus, continue tomorrow washing vehicle and Removing this the advertising decals, cleaning up adhesive off the exterior vehicle. Photos will be taken tomorrow. I realize my report doesn't look good, but tomorrow all my attention will be on this vehicle 08-13-2009B-Ok=today alot will be done, feeling much better than yesterday, so after my coffee and breakfast its all hands and elbows all day long......BC* Remove wheels and found that the brake rotors do not sit well on the wheel studs. I went to parts store to match up with a new one, but both stud and rotor were the same. Must be something from dealer I'm over looking. Anyways I stopped by Lowes to pick up a steel spacer that was 1/2 X 5/8X1" long and cut sections out of it so I can remove the end play so brake rotor won't rock back and forth. I was only able to insert it on one stud as all studs were not directly center of holes in brake rotor. While the left rotor was out I grinded off the excess edge of rotor where brake pads so not ride. The rotor is wearing and next brake job the rotors probably will need to be replace. The current brake pads still have a lot of brake material on them, so they were put back on the car. I have not done the right side with any grinding though I did insert the steel spacer as shown in picture. I assembled the brakes and took it for a test drive. The knock seems to have gone away. Later in evening the adhesive was removed and the car was washed, cleaned the tires and stored the vehicle inside to 08-14-2009 B*-Finish doing the title transfer in Siler City, having the car paid off in full and spending some quality fun conversation in the shop car with Lemmy and Deven during our trip to the Waco via bank & the DMV office . at 5:00pm I drove to Flamingo Restaurant to have some dinner, than off I went back home. I have to admit with all the driving I did from Durham to Siler City I'm worn out tonight, so the remainder of the work will resume tomorrow morning 08-15-2009B-continue cleaning glass inside and out, and touch up some more areas on body with touch up paint. torque down bolts. I drove to Fuquay Varina to pick up the own so he could drive his car home
