Helping Others & Doing Honest Business Since 1979

Other Shops Doing Work For AutoFashions.com
All future sublet repairs done at other auto restoration shops, body shops, upholstery shops, machine shops where our projects or parts have been taken to will be inspected again for quality workmanship since this reflects our workmanship when we reassemble projects for our customers here at AutoFashions.com.. A full report will be made, the good, the bad and even the ugly. We may substitute a business name for another name if it becomes to ugly.

Just like the TV show 60 minutes, WRAL on your side, The Car guys and so many others who report wrong doing on shabby work.  For example: The mechanic who squirts oil on the customer shocks to make them look like they are leaking or the air condition man who tells you that you need a compressor and all it was a fuse. The body shop man who doesn't repair the sheet metal, but covers it over 1/2 inch thick of body filler  or not properly painting areas and so on. Hopefully good reports will continue to be made. Photos will be posted for owner on website of all inspections to reveal the truth.  We cannot control what others say or do, but we will provide the best report as possible from what has been seen, photograph or  what was said!

Childish or Facts?  For example: Tom ( not his real name) at another shop who has done wrong is not talking about dolls and games, he is talking about anger, jealousy, cruelty, spite, judgment and all these childish emotions in which we lose ourselves, forget ourselves? hurt ourselves and others for there own selfish gain and much loss to the one who has been back stabbed, either being the customer, partner ,employee or owner.

But suppose Tom who really likes those sad country songs, or enjoys rooting against a disliked football team, watches a negative TV show, abuses personal property of others, takes advantage of another because he has a big ego, and so on? Must he give it up? To my mind, to judge these things and so attempt to purge them from our interests is to miss the point entirely. Judging ourselves or others for something we now call childish, is simply substituting one childish emotion for another. Uhmm interesting if we were both put on a lie detector test. Who do you think would win about being childish, a thief or an abuser?.

Machine Shop Work
7-03-2009- I drove to Machine shop and dropped off the 1936 Plymouth brake master cylinder to be rebuilt with a brass sleeve that will never rust.  They said to give them a couple of weeks on it.
07-21-2009-I Called, they said they need more time
Tire work
06-29-2009--Kings Tire in Chapel Hill did a wonderful job repairing the two trailer tires.  I picked them up and they both passed the leak test.  I haven't had time to install it yet, but I will tomorrow morning.
42 MB Jeep
07-05-2009-Waiting for remaining parts to arrive from Jeep
07-06-2009-B*The owner of the Jeep brought by the fenders for the Jeep, further inspection of the painting process will be looked at tomorrow to look for quality workmanship. Owner of Jeep is Waiting for M.A.R.S. to finish the Jeep seat frames & gas tank.
07-14-2009-I inspected the paint work on fenders and on the on hood.  I'm honestly very disappointed with the quality of the paint job and their attitude with not performing a decent job for what the customer paid for.  The work that was done on the exterior of the body is much more superior than what I see on the top of the fenders and hood.   It has a horrible case of the orange peel.  Im honestly discussed and I know both of them could care less what I think and for all I know they are doing it out of hateful spite to some how bother me or the customer that we both don't deserve.  The owner said he may take the parts back to have them painted properly.  Yup another redo-what a waste of time-really is  sad.

I will give credit that the face of the grille was done well, but not painted very well on the back side.  Basically more of the same shabby work that was done on the interior of the jeep body not properly cover with paint, -same old same old.  Owner of Jeep said the gas tank and seat frames will hopefully be painted by this Friday.  Im expecting that they probably be painted in the same matter.  I have no high expectations anymore with their work with me.  Hey why not surprise me with doing a great paint job. If you do I will praise you for it, Always Have.
