9-10-2009-1996 Ford Taurus was towed in. Customer said the vehicle would only go into reverse only. The vehicle was parked in storage until I had time to look at it. The owner was in no rush to get it back as it had been used for storage until now. 12-09-2009-I added four quarts of transmission fluid in vehicle. I also added a temporary battery to get the vehicle running. Started vehicle and let it idle until sufficient oil was in the transmission. The vehicle started to move, but it has a real bad transmission leak. After moving vehicle on its own power, I brought it in the shop and rasied the front end. Looking at the engine The oil leak has been there for quite sometime as the entire underside of vehicle showed signs of oil seepage. I revealed one source of the leak as it is hard to tell with the dirty, greasy engine. One transmission line is broken. 12-13-2009B*Invoice work I found one electrical connector in engine compartment that has been disconnected. At this point, I'm not sure what it could be from.
I added powersteering fluid. There maybe a leak here also here as I had to add a lot of fluid. I will need to check this area out further as I get more into it. At the present time the power steering is hard to steer and the seals are stiff.
The Radiator has a leak. I pressurized the radiator and can hear the hissing sounds. I will need to remove more parts to tell where this water leak is coming from. The owner has placed this job on (HOLD status) 12-24-2009-Waiting for customers reply## 12-29-2009C*-Lower vehicle and move vehicle again aside-Storage lien Pending!## 01-21-2010B*-Called to request funds-Toni said still waiting for funds. I'm very sorry, but my space is limited. I had to Move the Taurus outdoors to begin storage lien process if not picked up and paid for. Current charges $75.00 01-25-2010-I talked to Toni today. She said she make a weekly payment by monday. I have already filled out the storage/lein form. If payment is not received by monday or sooner I will process the Form . 02-04-2010-Processing with Storage lein when I find the time 03-01-2010B*-Registered Certified mail has been sent to owner today with demands-FIX or be MOVED! 03-07-2010 B*-Owner stopped and said she can't afford to continue to repair vehicle, meanwhile she made a payment toward vehicle. Thank-you. Your deadline has been extended to March 24th 03-23-2010-Seems to be falling into the same routine. 03-24-2010-Storage Charges of $10.00 a day begin tomorrow! 03-25-2010-$10.00-I actually feel bad about charging everyday-its nothing personal just business. 03-26-2010-Thank-you for your call and making a payment toward your vehicle. When I find your deposit that you left I won't charge you for yesterdays storage charge and your next payment is due by April 9th . I am very happy that you found work :). 04-02-2010-I Talked to LA. She said message would be given to Toni that the bill & vehicle needs to to be paid up and leave the property ASAP! 04-03-2010-I left final warning with Toni at her phone number. Tomorrow is the deadline! Tomorrow morning, car will be moved out of the gray tent area so it can be towed! 04-05-2010-Final payment has been made this morning-thank-you!. Later in the day the Ford was moved out of tent to be towed away. 04-07-2010-Vehicle still remains,so may father and I towed it half way down the drive way. Toni keeps teling me that someone will come,but so far nothing.
