We spent a lot of time making your vehicle look good and now you want that finish to last a long time. From our training in paint and body work we recommend that for the first 90 days after a new finish has been applied, certain precautionary procedures should be followed. These procedures include:
1. Wash the vehicle with cool water or a mild detergent mixed in water. Do not use commercial car washes.
2. Always wash the vehicle in the shade when ever possible.
3. Avoid washing the vehicle in extremely hot or cold weather.
4. Never wipe the vehicle with a dry cloth.
5. Avoid driving on gravel roads
6. Avoid parking under trees or near factories with heavy smoke, as this can cause damage to the finish.
7. Immediately wipe off spilled fluids, such as anti-freeze.
8. Never scrape ice or snow off the vehicles painted surface. Use a brush instead.
A final, general recommendation is to not wax or polish vehicle during the 90 day period after a car is painted. Follow these helpful procedures will help keep any finish looking new for quite some time.
